तेथे कर माझे जुळती

“दिव्यत्वाची जेथं प्रचिती.
तेथे कर माझे जुळती.”
      साहित्य लेखनाची कुठलीच पार्श्वभूमी नसताना स्वतःच्या प्रयत्नातून बाबाराव मुसळे सरांनी (नानांनी) साहित्यिकाच्या हृदयात स्वतःच्या नावाचा तेजस्वी दीप साहित्याचा आजहीम तेवत ठेवला आहे तेच नाना.
      ज्या अवलियाने 12 कादंबऱ्या, दोन प्रकाशनाच्या मार्गावर,500हून अधिक कथा, लेख लिहून 100च्या वर कवितांना श्रृंगारलं तेच नाना आत्मिक समाधानी नानाच्या दैदीप्यमान यशाची सोनपावलं बालपणातच दिसत होती.

साधी राहणी उच्च विचार म्हणूनच ते इतरांपेक्षा श्रेष्ठ आहेत.

       नानाचा जन्म 10-6- 1949 ला मैराळडोह या मामाच्या गावी झाला. वडील गंगाराम व आई कलावतीबाई यांच्या उदरी झाला. नाना ज्या खोलीत जन्मले व जिथे ते राहत होते ती खोली 12 बाय 15 ची अंधारी खोली होती. त्या खोलीत एकूण 14 माणसे राहत होती. कमळाचा जन्म चिखलातून ,हिराचा जन्म कोळशाच्या खाणीतून होतो. त्याप्रमाणे कर्तुत्वान नानाचा जन्म ही गरीब ग्रामीण शेतकरी घराण्यातून झाला . धन्य ते मायबाप ज्यांच्या मुलाने “ऐसा पुत्र व्हावा गुंडा जो त्रिलोकी लाविल झेंडा.” साहित्य क्षेत्रात नाव कमवले. ज्यावेळेस नाना लहानपणी नाना फार चप्पळ होते. नाना लवकरच झोपावेत म्हणून आई गाणे म्हणून झोपत असे.

” सीताबाई बांळातीन वानरे ग फादो फांदी . एखादं पडलं पाण्यामधी.”

         हे साहित्याचं बाळकडू नाना पिल्याशिवाय झोपत नव्हते. नाना थोडे मोठे समजदार झाले. त्यांची आई पहाटे चार वाजता उठून दररोज जात्यावर दळण दळत असे. त्यावेळी नाना आईच्या सोबत उठत व आईच्या मांडीवर डोकं ठेवून जात्यावरचे गाणे आईच्या वाणीतले ऐकत .
“दळणदळीत हात जोडते सूर्याले.

हात जोडते सूर्याले आऊक मागते भावाले.”

       अशा प्रकारे नाना गित नानांच्या कांनावर बालपणा पासून पडत. आईच्या ममत्वाचं व साहित्याचं दोन्हीही दूध कळत नकळत कलावती वाघीणीने पाजवलं होतं. तिथेच साहित्याचं त्यांच्या बालमनावर बिजारोपण झाल.
     नानाचा वय आता शाळेत जाण्याचं झालं होतं. गरीब परिस्थितीमुळे त्यांना नवीन पुस्तके भेटत नव्हते. नाना जुने पुस्तके अर्ध्या किंमतीत घेऊन नव्या वर्गाला जात असत . नाना मित्राकडून नवीन पुस्तक मागून त्याचा श्वास घेत तो सुगंध नानांना फार आवडत.
         नाना पहिलीचे व इतर पुस्तके एका बैठकीत वाचून काढत व पाठही करत. कारण सरस्वती देवी त्यांच्या जिभेवर विराजमान झाली आहे. त्यामुळे अशक्य गोष्टीना ते आजही शक्य करतात .
बाजारातून आणलेल्या सामानाचे पेपर नाना वाचत. नाना म्हणत माय ,”मी पेपराचे तुकडे वाचल्यावर तो कागद चूलीसाठी वापरत जा .” नानांचा खरा आनंद गुळाला गुंडाळलेल्या मोठा कागद वाचण्यास मिळाल्यास होत असे.कारण संपूर्ण बातम्या वाचायला भेटत व पेपरला चिटकलेला गुळ चाटून चाटून खायला मिळे कारण गूळ नानांना फार आवडत.अशा बाल खोड्या वाचायला व ऐकायला प्रत्येकालाच आवडतात.
      आता नानाची चौथी गावात संपली. पाचवी ते दहावीच्या शिक्षणासाठी अनसिंग ह्या तालुक्याच्या गावी प.दी.जैन विद्यालयात नानांनी प्रवेश घेतला. त्याकाळी गाडी कधी वेळेवर येत तर कधी उशिरा येत असे .गाडीला वेळ असल्यास नाना बैलगाडीच्या रस्त्याने दीड किलोमीटर अंतर पळत जाऊन शाळेच्या प्रार्थनेला हजर राहात . नानाचे चुलत भाऊ गाडीने उशिरा येत. त्यामुळे सर्व भाऊबंदकी मार खात. नानांचा बदला घेण्यासाठी स्वेटरच्या सुईने दीड किलोमीटर अंतर गावापर्यंतचे संपू पर्यंत ते नानांच्या पाठीला सुया टोचवत .पण नानांनी कधीही भ्र काढला नाही. कधी कधी परिस्थिती ही मनुष्यास गप्प बसण्यास भाग पाडते. त्याकाळी डांबरीकरण झालेलं होतं त्यामुळे रस्ता काळाकुट्ट पाटीसारखा नानांच्या नजरेला वाटे.शाळेतून खडूचे तुकडे आणत.ज्यावेळी गाडीला उशीर असल्यावर नाना त्या रस्त्याचा फळा करून त्यावर चक्रीय पदावलीचे गुणाकार पद्धतीने गणिते सोडवत. त्यांची लांबी तीन ते चार मीटर असे. ते भावांना पहावत नसे व ते गणित पायाने पुसून टाकत. तरीही नानाना राग येत नसे. कारण संघर्षात नाना एकटे होते मेहंणतीच फळ त्यांच्यासोबत होतं. जे त्यांच्यावर हसत तेच पोर पुढे चालू साहित्याचा महामेरू म्हणून इतिहास घडवतील असं त्यांना कधी स्वप्नात देखील वाटलं नसेल. “दैव जाणिले कोणी.”
        नाना ज्यावेळेस आठवीला गेले त्यावेळेस फुगड्यांचे गाणे त्यांच्या कानी पडत. मुलांना अमिबाची आकृती बोर्डावर शिकवत नाना गाण्याचा रट्टा मारत “अडवी तिडवी बाभळत्यावर त्यावर बसला होला” असं साहित्य हसत खेळत ते डोक्यात साठवून ठेवत होते .जणू साहित्य त्यांच्या रक्तातच भिनलं होतं .नानांना भुलईचे, भुलोबाचे, गणपतीचे, झोक्यावरचे, पोळ्याचे गाणे ही मुखपाट आजही आहेत.ते गाणे सुंदर आवाजात गातात.अगदी एकाग्र होऊन तन, मनाने त्या प्रसंगात गेल्या समान गातात. पोळ्याचं (झाडत्याचे) गीत.
“एक नमन महादेवाला. दुसरे नमन बैल जोडीला.”
अशा ओळीत दडलेल्या कथा, कादंबरी नानाने आपल्यासमोर जिवंत करून सादर केल्या आहेत .”इथे पाहिजे जातीचे येड्या गबाळ्याचे काम नव्हे. ” नाना हे जातीवंत लेखक आहेत. ही अभिमानाची गोष्ट आहे. त्यांनी संस्कृतीचे जतन लोकगीतातून, गाण्यातून आजही अलंकाराच्या रूपाने स्वतःच्या देहावर श्रंगारलं आहे .नाना बालपणी वडिलांना हट्ट करून बैलगाडीत बसून जत्रेला भावांसोबत जात असे. त्यावेळेस बैलाचा कासरा स्वतःच्या हाती धरून गाणे म्हणत “वायल व्हा, वायल व्हा .गाडी चालली दिग्रस धारवा.” तो बाल गोंधळ ,आनंदी क्षण ,जत्रेच नेत्रसुख, उत्सुकता बापरे ती मज्जा काही औरच होती
दहावी नंतर भाऊ साहेबरावांनी व वहिनी सौ .इंदिराबाईनी त्यांना पुढील शिक्षणासाठी परभणीला बोलवल. शिवाजी कॉलेजात प्रवेश घेतला. त्यांच्या भावाला चुडावा रेल्वे स्टेशन येथे जि. प. हा मध्ये शिक्षक होते. तिथे फार मोठ्ठी पुस्तकाची लायब्ररी होती. नानांना पुस्तके वाचण्याचा छंद असल्यामुळे भाऊ दररोज पुस्तके वाचायला आणत. एका वर्षात नानांनी एक हजार पुस्तके वाचून काढले. असे महान कार्य सामान्य व्यक्ती कदापिही करू शकत नाही.
नानांच्या वडिलांनी त्यांच्या भावांना विचार तुला काय व्हायचे आहे. भाऊ म्हणाला मला ध्रुवतारा व्हायचे.नानाला विचारलं तुला काय व्हायचे रे .नाना म्हणाले मला माती व्हायचे आहे . नानाच्या उत्तरावर भाऊ हसू लागला पण भावाला काय माहित सृजन करण्याची ताकद मातीत असते. त्यामुळेच तिला भूमाता म्हंटलं जात. बालवयातही नानांची किती दूरदृष्टीकोन जीवनाकडे पाहण्याचा होता. आयुष्यात मोठं होण्यासाठी मनोबल ,आत्मविश्वास त्यांच्या नेत्रात होता. ते अनेक पुस्तकातील लेखकांच्या चुका वाचनामुळे सहजपणे काढू लागले . त्यांना वाटलं अरे वा मला तर हे सर्व समजत आहे.कस लिखाण करायच ते.असं लिखाण तर मी ही लिहू शकतो आणि तिथूनच त्यांच्या लिखाणाच्या पायाभरणीला सुरुवात झाली. नानामध्ये विचार करून निर्णय घेण्याची क्षमता असल्याने ते साहित्य जगतात यशस्वी झाले. चांगले गुणवान लोक लाखातून एक असतात नानासारखे.
शंकर पाटी, वेंकटेश मांडगुळकर या ग्रामीण कथाकारामुळे नानांना प्रेरणा भेटली. आंबेडकरांच्या पुण्यतिथी निमित्त नानांनी कथा लिहिण्यास सुरुवात केली. नाना कॉलेजमध्ये गेल्यावर प्रेमपर्या बागडतांना नानां ना दिसू लागल्या.त्यावेळी नानांही तारुण्याचा उंबरठ्यावर उभे असल्याने साहजिकच त्यांनाही मुलीवर प्रेम कविता लिहाव्याशा वाटू लागल्या. पण प्रेमाचा अनुभव नसल्याने ते सरळ त्यांच्या गुरुकडे गेले व त्यांना प्रामाणिकपणे म्हणाले सर मला प्रेमावर कविता लिहिण्यास जमत नाही .कारण अनुभव नाही .आता मी काय करू. मी शरीराने व परिस्थितीने गरीब आहे .मुलीही पाहत नाहीत .यावर सर म्हणाले बाबाराव मुलींनी नाही पाहिलं तुझ्याकडे तरी चालेल. पण तू सुंदर मुलीला तुझी प्रेयसी समज व तिच्यावर कविता लिही.
नानांना त्यांचं म्हणणं पटलं. त्याप्रमाणे नानांनी तारुण्यातला हाही एकतर्फी प्रेमाचा अनुभव अनुभवला. प्रत्येक मनुष्य वयात आल्यावर ह्या भावविश्वातून जातच.
मग नानचा मोर्चा कॉलेजमधील नावा रुपाला आलेल्या साहित्य क्षेत्रातील गुरूकडे वळाला. नानांनी एक मस्त छोटसं नाट्य लिहिलं आणि ते लिहिण्यास जमलं की नाही हे विचारण्यासाठी नाना त्या सरांकडे घेऊन गेले. सतत तीन दिवस त्यांच्याकडे गेल्यावर तिसऱ्या दिवशी त्यांच्या गुरुने तो साहित्याचा कागद तोंडावरून फेकून मारला.व म्हणाले लिहिता येत नाही तर कशाला लिहितोस!असं रागात व जोरात मोठ्ठ्याने ओरडले. नानाच कोवळ मन सरांच्या अशा अन अपेक्षित निर्दयी वागण्यामुळे नानांच्या पायाखालची जमीन सरकली .ज्यांचे स्वप्न आकाशाला गवसणी घालण्याचे होते त्या स्वप्नाची राख रांगोळी सरांच्या एका वक्तव्याने केली. त्यामुळे त्यांनी चक्क दोन वर्ष साहित्य लिहिण्यासाठी हातात पेन सुध्दा धरला नाही.
पण” जो पडल्यावर स्वतःला सावरून घेतो तोच जीवनाला समजून घेतो .” अशक्य हा नानाच्या शब्दकोशात शब्द नव्हता .हुशार नानांने स्वतःच्या मनाला पुन्हा तयार केलं साहित्य जगतात मार्गस्थ होण्यासाठी. नाना त्यांच्या गुरुमुळे विझले होते. गुरुच्या हाती तेजोमयदीप नानांनी कथेच्या रूपाने दिला होता. त्या तेजोमय प्रकाशाने कदाचित त्या गुरुचे डोळे दिपले असतील कोण जाणे. पण नानाचा प्रवास एका अपयशामुळे संपला नव्हता कारण “अपयश आपल्या मनातलं कौशल्य शोधण्यास मदत करत”. हेही तितकंच सत्य आहे. नानांनी पुन्हा हाती लेखणी घेऊन कथा लिहिल्या. मग नानाच्या कथा मासिकात, सप्ताहिकात छापल्या जात. धुळ्याच्या द्वैमासिकाने रेवू कथा स्पर्धा घेतल्या होत्या .त्यात नाना भाग घेत व पहिल बक्षीसही भेटत. त्याकाळीअनुस्टूप नावाच्या वाड्;मयीन स्पर्धा या फार मोठ्या प्रमाणात घेतल्या जात. त्यातही नानाने अनेक कथा पाठवल्या .त्यातही त्यांना बक्षिसे मिळाले. आनंद यादवांनी घेतलेल्या तिसऱ्या पिढीची ग्रामीण कादंबरी या स्पर्धात्मक उप क्रमात नानांनी आल्या आल्या दुधी कादंबरी निवडून मेहता पब्लिशिंग हाऊस यांनी प्रकाशित केली या कादंबरीमुळे नानांना लोक मान्यता मिळाल. तिथूनच नाना तिसऱ्या पिढीचे ग्रामीण कथाकार म्हणून नावा रूपाला आले.
नानांच वय लग्नाचं झाल्यामुळे साहेबरावांनी नाना साठी मुलगी पाहिली आणि लग्न देखील ठरवलं .घरी आल्यास नानांना सांगितले की बाबाराव मी तुझे लग्न ठरवल. त्याकाळी मुलाने मुलगी पाहण्याचे पद्धत नव्हती. नानाचा मन लग्नामुळे सुखावलं पण लगेच दुखावलं कारण मुलगी रंग, रूपाने, स्वभावाने कशी आहे कोण जाणे? कारण नाना हे बाबाराव राहिले नव्हते ते शृंगारिक साहित्याचे साहित्यिकांची बारकाव्याची त्यांची दृष्टी झाली होती. त्यांना त्यांची सहचारिका लावण्यवती असावी अस वाटत होत.
ज्या वेळेस लग्नात अरुणाताई नानांच्या समोर हार घेऊन उभ्या होत्या तेव्हा नानाची नजर अरुणाताई वर पडली. नाना अरुणाताई च्या रूपाने पार घायाळच झाले होते. कॉलेजातल्या सर्व पोरी अरुणाताई पुढे फिक्‍या असं नानांच अंतर्मन बोलूनही गेल.नानाच नशीब खुलल कारण अरुणाताई रुपवानच नव्हत्या तर त्या एक जबाबदार आई, पत्नी, मैत्रीण, प्रेमिका होत्या. संसाराचा वाटा ९५ टक्के ताईंनी उचललेला होता. नानांच्या साहित्याच्या लिखानात,कार्यात कुठेही त्या आडव्या आल्या नाहीत.नानांना त्यांनी दोन मुलं, दोन मुली दोघांच्या प्रेमाच प्रतीक दिल. नानांनी ताईला पाहून अनेक कविता प्रेमाच्या लिहील्या.

मी सहज सरांना विचारलं ताईंना पहिल्यांदा लग्नात पाहिल्यावर तुम्हाला कसं वाटलं? तेव्हा सर मला म्हणाले काय सांगू सुरेखा “अरुणा इतकी सुंदर ,निरागस,कोमल तिची काया दिसत होती की तिला फुंकर जरी मारली तरी ती कोमेजून जाईल की काय?असं तिचं लावण्य रूप होतं.”म्हणूनच सर आजही आपल्या भाषणात कोणत्या ना कोणत्या उदाहरणातून पत्नीची आठवण न चुकता आवर्जून काढतातच. त्या सरांच्या हृदयात नेहमीच असतात .सर गावी गेल्यास सरांना फोन करून नेहमी विचारतात अहो जेवलात का ?अरुणाताईच जेवढेच प्रेम सरांवर आहे तेवढेच प्रेम सरांचं ताईंवर आहे .
नानाचा मोर्चा नंतर कादंबरीकडे वळाला. त्यांनी त्यात स्वतःला इतकं झोकून दिलं होत की नानांना रात्रीचा दिवस बायकोची लाथ झोपेत नकळत लागल्यास कळत असे . (जागेचा प्रश्न 12×15)त्यावेळेस ते त्यांच्या कादंबऱ्या लिहिण्यासाठी बाजेवर अरुणाताई च्या पायथ्याशी बसत.त्यामुळे ते भानावर येत व घड्याळाकडे पहात तेव्हा सकाळचे चार, पाच वाजले असत. मग नाना झोपत.
आजही नाना म्हणतात “मी जर दररोज काही ना काही लिहिलं नाही तर माझ्या रोमा रोमातून अक्षरे बाहेर येतील !”किती अंगावर शहारे उठणारे उद्गार आहेत त्यांचे .नाना म्हणतात लिखाणास साधनांची गरज नसते तर साधनेची गरज लागते .शब्दची आमचे जीवनाचे साधन नानाची ओढ ही जीव लावल्याशिवाय कळत नाही आणि जिवाभावाच्या माणसाशिवाय तुम्हा आम्हाच्या आयुष्याला अर्थही उरत नाही. सन्मान व प्रशंसा मागितल्याने मिळत नसते तर ती कमवावी लागते. जी नानाने कमवली आहे.आज ही नानाच्या प्रवासाच ध्येय त्यांच्या अंतरी आहे .आणखीन दहा वर्ष लिखाण करतो असे नाना म्हणतात. त्यांचं ध्येय ते नक्कीच गाठतील .त्यांच्या मेहनतीचा वेग ते इतका वाढवत आहेत की त्यांना शारीरिक, मानसिक थकवा त्यांच्याजवळ फिरकत देखील नाही. नानाचे साहित्याचा प्रवास फार मोठा आहे.

कथासंग्रह =मोहरलेला चंद्र ,झिंगू लुखू लुखू, नगर भोजन .
कविता संग्रह= इथे पेटली माणूस गात्रे. त्यांच्या लेखणीस सर्व प्रकारचे अतिउच्च पुरस्काराने ते सन्मानित आहेत. आदर्श शिक्षक 2002 महाराष्ट्र राज्य शासनाचा पुरस्कार त्यांना मिळाला आहे.
कथा बाकी वीस रुपयांचं काय बालभारती आठवीला त्यांचा धडा आहे. त्यांच्या बारा कादंबऱ्या कोणत्या ते पहा
मी ज्यावेळेस नानांना (१)”द लास्ट टेस्ट” म्हणून विचारलं ,सर तुम्ही लॅपटॉप वर साहित्य टाईप करण्याआधी तुमच्या डोक्यातलं (2)”वारूळ” वहीवर लिहून काढता का? जसं की मी लिहिते. ते मला म्हणाले (3)”नो नॉट नेव्हर”सुरेखा मी पेन फक्त सही साठी व बायकोने सांगितलेल्या सामानाच्या यादी लिहिण्यासाठीच वापरतो .म्हणजे सर तुम्ही तुमचे वाक्य तात्काळ लिहिता.
हो.
सरांचा हो शब्द ऐकून मला(4)” दंश” केल्यागत झाल. ते पुढे म्हणाले तुला जसं विचार करून लिहावं लागतं तसं मला विचार करावा लागत नाही कारण माझे बोटेच(5) “झुंड” होऊन झपाटून लिहितात .म्हणजे पहा सरांची बोटे (6)”एक पाऊल पुढे” आहेत. विचाराने ,मनाने देखील. माझं मन ( 7)”झळाळ”होऊन उठलं. वाटलं सरांचा देह हा आता देह राहिला नसून तो ज्ञानसागर झाला आहे. सर कोणत्याही अवयवाकडून(8) “पाटीलकी” करत कोणतेही बुद्धीचे काम(9) “हल्या हल्या दूध दे” म्हणून करून घेतात. सर मला म्हणाले सुरेखा अपयशाचं(10) “स्मशान भोग” जगताना काळजातली (11)”आर्त “हाक मी ऐकली आहे . बरोबर आहे सर तुमच म्हणण पण तुम्ही( 12)”पखाल” भरून साहित्यही लिहिलेलं आहे. म्हणूनच तुमचं नाव अजरामर झाले आहे. माझ्या बोलण्यावर सर हसले व म्हणाले काहीही म्हणते सुरेखा.
दुसऱ्याच्या मनातील अबोल भावना, संकेत ,सुख,दुःखे न बोलता ही नानांनी दुसऱ्याच्या मनाच्या खोलवर जाऊन अचूक नातं जुळून घेतात आणि त्यांच्या मुक्या भावनांना ,आस्वांना ,हास्यांना ,समस्यांना स्वतःच्या अंतरी उतरून हृदयातून ते पात्र स्वतः बनून लिहितात .अगदी मनापासून लिहिलेल साहित्य आपल्या मनाला हळुवार स्पर्श करून जात. नानाच्या कथा, कादंबरीच स्वरूप ,विषय हा सारखा नसतो .ते नेहमी काहीतरी वेगळाच धडा देऊन जातात.त्यामुळे तुम्हा आम्हा सारख्यांच्या जीवनाला कलाटणी मिळते .
नानानी लेखणीतून दुसऱ्याचे मन दुखवणार नाही एवढं आवर्जून जपलेलं आहे. त्यांना वाटतं स्वतःची प्रगती कमी झाली तरी चालेल पण माझ्या लेखणीतून कुणाच्या भावनेला ,जातीला तडा जाता कामा नये. त्यांचे विचार उच्च आहेत. नाना सर्वांना मदत करतात .कारण जात आपल्या हातात नसते तो एक अपघात आहे. नानांचे जिवलग मित्र श्री नामदेव कांबळे, कविवर्य अनिल कांबळे आणि सोपान कांबळे सरांचे हे वैयक्तिक जीवनातले जिवलग मित्र आहेत. आयुष्यभर कमावलेली संपत्ती म्हणजे त्यांचे चांगले विचार .चांगल्या विचारामुळे मनुष्य नेहमी चांगले कार्य करत असतो .
